Two More Asian Musicians on YouTube

There are two more Asian musicians on YouTube that I found out about recently that I didn’t include in my old post.

Those two musicians are Ysabelle Cuevas and Suggi. Ysabelle do the English covers for KPop songs and OST for some Korean/Chinese dramas. Her covers are very unique because she doesn’t use the same instrumental as the original songs. She either mixes, plays, or use other instrumental from some other YouTubers. She also does some Korean covers but she mainly does the English versions.

The second musician is a YouTuber named Suggi. He does covers for American pop songs and KPop songs. He’s KPop covers are different because he sings the original lyrics from the song. I’m pretty sure he does the instrumental himself. His voice is very unique and is very raspy.

I would definitely recommend for you to check out both of them because they need more recognition.

Asian Musicians on YouTube

The Asian Musicians on YouTube are absolutely amazing.

Like I had said in my previous blog post, DavidSoComedy also does music. He has recorded music for the movie Gook, which he also acted in as one of the main characters. One of my favorite songs he recorded for the movie is the song I’ll Do. Also another good song that he wrote himself is called All I Need. He is also Korean America.

Another amazing Asian musician is DanAKADan, who is a Korean American. He is a rapper and his songs are absolutely amazing and his music videos are produced very well. My favorite songs from him are Runners, Stuntman, Is There Anybody Still Out There?, CRAZY RICH ASIANS, Keep to the Path, Count On Me, and many more.

Another amazing Korean American Musician is JunCurryAhn. He does violin covers of KPop and Pop songs. He also has some solo music that he does and he has had a collaboration with DanAKADan where he raps during the song. He also does dance covers of some of the songs.

Asian YouTube Community

The Asian YouTube community is very abundant of amazing people. The only thing is that most of them don’t have as many subscribers as the more mainstream people.

For example, WongFu Productions. They have three million subscribers, yet they have been on YouTube since 2007. Another amazing group of YouTubers is JK Films. They have many channels but the ones that they mainly post videos on now are Justkidding Party and Justkidding News. But the one that started it all was Justkidding films. Both of these groups of YouTubers create videos professionally, where they have a studio and office to film and edit the videos. WongFu is still creating skits but as for JustKidding films, they don’t create skits anymore.

Another amazing Asian YouTuber is DavidSoComedy. He originally started as a comedian on YouTube creating skits, but now he does more vlog type videos. He also does music, but I’ll be doing a separate blog post for Asian musicians on YouTube.

Then there’s the famous Ryan Higa aka NigaHiga. Currently he is the most popular Asian YouTuber with roughly 21.2 million subscribers.
