YG Treasure Box

YG treasure box is a survival show for trainees aspiring to be the next big Kpop idol. There are 29 trainees in total.

YG/ Yang Hyun Suk is thinking of launching a new boy group in 2019. He said that he’s thinking of five members but it might change depending on how each trainee does.

YG’s “treasure box” is what he calls his trainees that her thinks will debut soon. One of them is Bang Ye Dam and he is the one that has been training at YG entertainment.

There are four teams. Team A are the ones that have been training for an average of three to four years. That’s where Ye Dam is placed along with many others. Then there is Team B another group of trainees that are around the age of 16-17 (don’t quote me on that I’m not completely sure). Then there’s Team C. The youngest of the trainees and they are as young as 13 years old. They have been training for maybe a year but some of them are extremely talented. The final team is Team J. This team is from the YG agency based in Japan.

From Team J the one that stood out to me was Haruto. He is a rapper and his rap style reminded me a lot of B.I from iKon.

You can watch the first two episodes on YouTube or watch it live on the Vlive app. Just search up YG Treasure Box on YouTube and it should be there. I would not recommend to watch it on Vlive because if you don’t understand Korean then you wouldn’t understand what is going on. Also after the episodes air, the captions for English on the Vlive app isn’t as good as it is on YouTube. Personally I think you should watch it on YouTube, that way you don’t have to download another app.

I’m really enjoying this show because it shows how difficult it is to become an idol.

These are all just brief profile of all 29 trainees in the treasure box.
